The Advocate checked in with Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, and Denis O'Hare about LGBT representation on American Horror Story: Hotel (and their favorite Lady Gaga songs). A list of all gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer characters in American Horror Story. The fifth season of the American horror anthology television series American Horror Story, subtitled Hotel, is centered around the mysterious Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, the scene of disturbing and paranormal events, overseen by its enigmatic staff.
(1) AHS has always been a hyper-sexual television show. However, that hyper-sexuality is normally hetero, not homo. One could argue that a season or two have been even more sexual than NYC (I’m especially looking at you Hotel!) (2) Despite a major story point being Gino’s search for the Mai-Tai Killer, there is another huge story thread.
American Horror Story season 12 is upon us with AHS: Delicate. But just how will it measure up in terms of LGBTQ+ representation?. April 26, He allows the women a corner desk and the opportunity to write. The Countess runs things in the hotel with the pointy finger guards she and Donovan use to quickly slash throats and drink blood, starting with the couple they brought home for a foursome that was gruesome and shockingly explicit, even for FX.
The same can be said with Gino. At the end of the first episode, we see Countess Elizabeth Lady Gaga and Donovan Matt Bomer engaging in a gruesome foursome that ends in bloodshed. Not long after, he is given the AHS treatment of a vicious murder with the use of a stake and fire. The Countess finds another partner in the drug-addict model-turned vampire, Tristan Finn Wittrock , and promptly kicks love-stricken Donovan to the curb.
We just know he'll do anything for a dollar. Chad knows nothing of peace. The NYPD couldn't care less about murdered gay man, they hardly investigate, and at various points they openly mock the dead. It was brutal and violent, and also kind of aimless. Look at Chad Zachary Quinto , unable to leave a bad relationship and the iconic location of Murder House. Through their instantly terrified eyes, we got a look at the Hotel Cortez, an old-school art deco building filled with new-school creeps that is powered by murder fumes, heroin, and Kathy Bates.
Mott accuses and punishes his servants harshly for the vandalism. To begin: It was cool to see the show set up through the two lithe, blonde European travelers who, like our forefathers, came to America for their love of Vin Diesel and amusement park rides. People think that word is dirty, but it's not. Re-enter Gino, who like these women, fights for a better life.
Some of the people are dead, some are alive, none of it makes sense, and you'll want to strangle Don Henley at the end for no discernible reason.
Liz Taylor is one of my absolute favorite characters from ANY season. I promise you won't be disappointed. The reason she does is simple. He will even risk his life to stop this threat to his community. Holden, John Lowe's missing son, is one of the four little blonde kids that terrorize the hotel guests before disappearing into their video game den inside the walls.
Listen: If you check into a mostly empty hotel filled with sex sounds, no Wi-Fi, and someone from housekeeping steaming blood out of a sheet in the hallway, forget your non-refundable deposit and get the hell out of there.
Placed into Briarcliff for being a lesbian, she ends up a prisoner to Dr. Liz Taylor works at the Hotel Cortez, wearing her heart on her caftan sleeve. I can't take an entire season of this and I'm not even kidding. With season 10 in production, it feels like the right time to finally talk about the cinematic genius that is American Horror Story.
Fran sees it for the poor excuse it is. December 7, Def Not!
